Anne specializes in orthopaedic manual therapy and stroke
rehabilitation. She has extensive training in Bobath's neurological
developmental treatment (NDT) techniques. This rehabilitation focuses on
performing functional activities in weight bearing positions to
stimulate established motor patterns damaged by stroke or traumatic
brain injury.
She is certified by Lerner/Kessler in Manual Lymphatic Drainage/
Complete Decongestive Therapy. This treatment assists drainage of limbs
swollen with protein-rich fluids, often resulting from mastectomy and
radiation due to cancer. Through a combination of massage, bandaging,
exercise, and meticulous skin care, limbs return to more normal sizes.
