Anodyne
®
Therapy is a revolutionary and technologically
superior form of monochromatic infrared energy therapy. It has been
used by therapists to reduce pain and speed the healing of
musculoskeletal and neuromuscular injuries as well as chronic
conditions, such as bursitis, arthritis, tendinitis, fractures, and
neuropathic pain.
The Anodyne
®
Therapy System is used externally and is non-invasive. It consists of a
base power unit with flexible therapy pads that have 60 light emitting
diodes (LEDs). Each of the diodes produce infrared light at a
wavelength of 890 nanometers.
The Anodyne
®
Therapy System increases localized circulation and temporarily reduces
pain. A 20 minutes treatment can increase circulation as much as 3200%
according to research results. The use of infrared photo-energy can
address edema, pain, and the wound healing process. It is different
from conventional modalities.
Contraindications
Anodyne
®
Therapy
should not be used on those folks who are pregnant, or have an active
malignancy. It should not be used over an analgesic cream due to the
possibility of burns.
This therapy may be used over
pacemakers, implanted defibulators, and implants (pins, screws,
prosthesis, etc.) of all ages.
